Contributions

As the Project Manager and Head Developer, the role contributed to the overall style guide, main landing page graphic elements, implementing APIs based off of video games, and delegating tasks for the team to complete the project.

Process

The project was broken into three portions: stylizing, data fetching, and landing page elements. As the project manager and head developer, the APIs used for the easy, medium, and hard difficulties was the first priority to focus on as we processed through the project. This decision was made to provide readily available data for each quiz page as the design process can be adjusted iteratively.

Landing Page elements such as the rotating potato chip following with the accompanied musical element, “Funkytown” by Lipps Inc, buttons, and fonts were ultimately chosen by the project manager. This project was meant as a more humorous approach, while incorporating a proper demonstration of fetching data.

As the landing page elements set the tone for the overall style guide, the following quiz pages would follow the same “Courier New” font and the button styles. Simple navigation that would allow the user to complete the quiz, go to the other quizzes, or return back to the landing page.
